LITTLE BLUE
I purchased this 84 ranger from my step brother in November of 2001. It was
going to be cheap gas saving transportation for me. Well it saved a lot of gas.
After the first week I had it, The motor went bye bye. That's when I decided to
fix it up a little bit. This was my first complete paint job, not perfect but
not bad.

The truck was blue over white. The hood was completely rust covered. There was a small rust hole over the driver side rear wheel. Two big dents, one was at the tail light on driver side and the other was behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. I started to paint the truck black. I wanted to cover all the repair work fast then later completely paint the truck. After a few months I decided to attempt to do my first paint job. I went out and got a gallon of Ford Blue and went at it one weekend. Its not perfect but I like it. Click here for the body work pictures.
The interior consisted of a old broken down, ripped up bench seat. Cracked
dash pad and a not so custom cut job for a stereo in the dash. The vinyl floor
mat was torn to pieces. When we stripped the interior out, there was a large
hole and several cracks in the floor board on the driver side. We replaced the
metal and fixed that. I have 87 ranger as a donor truck, so out came its
interior. The carpet and seat (40/60) were in great shape. The dash pad and
panel was used also. Wow what a difference
Future plans were to put a dana 44 front axle and 9" rear axle under it. I
changed my mine and decided to keep it a 2wd. I have all the parts to do a
duraspark conversion and eliminate the computer stuff. Someday may put a 302 in
it but not sure if I want to yet.
